We are now in Kuala Lumpur. It is actually quite a cool city though it’s really similar to Bangkok. The centre is clean and full of skyscrapers. In the middle of the skyscrapers there are some smaller houses, which are the remaining traditional areas like Chinatown and Little India. This is a megalopolis though it has only about 2 million inhabitants; it’s incredible what a difference does it make to compare these East-Asian capitals like Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok to the Indian big cities Delhi and Calcutta. Here in KL you can breathe really well, I guess the tropical climate that is the every day rain makes a lot. In Delhi and Calcutta you just suffer because you cannot breathe and everywhere there are too many people with a mess full of animals and garbage. KL is like a perfect city compared to that.
We visited some mega big shopping malls and of course the Petronas Towers. They were quite amazing. It’s only that those shopping places that encourage you to consume are so huge that just after a couple of minutes you feel dizzy because of the amount of things around you. In this city there is something for everyone; the thousands of restaurants, bars, shops, hotels, nightclubs, etc guarantee it.
