finally...Edinburgh
Alarm clock rang at 9 am. I got up, had breakfast and took the train from Düsseldorf central station to Cologne Airport. The plane to Edinburgh left at 2 am and arrived at 3 am. Thanks to time difference, I lost just one hour on the flight though the flight took two hours. I got to the hostel at 4 pm. Just in time to meet some of the others at the hostel bar for the first few beers of the day and some entertaining conversations! It was obvious, everybody was up for the meet up and and the fun already started, just listening and talking to the others! I got a warm welcome by all of them and those who joined after me. Some of us watched the England • Kazakhstan game while the others already went to Mr Modo´s, the bar, where the actual meet up was supposed to start.

After a 5:1-England-win, we headed to Mr Modo´s to join the rest! Well, at this point memories start getting vague, so please don´t expect a detailed report about the rest of the night! I decided to start that “ten different beers from ten countries of the world”-contest with Brett! I failed by two and had to take a little break to get my head straight again! Anyway, Brett succeeded and got that T-Shirt! Kudos, mate! I got back on track just in time for the next club! Don´t remember the name of it, probably never knew it! I think we got there by taxi, but I´m not really sure about that either! Anyway, we stayed there for a while before we went (I´m sure about that) to another club with countless floors! The place was really packed with people and it took us some time until we found a place to settle down! After quite a while, I noticed that I had run out of money and tried to find an ATM with Mark.
the Irish guys
We couldn´t find one in the club, so we went out to look for one outside. But we haven´t been more successful there either! Eventually, for any pointless reason, I honestly don´t know anymore, we thought the others had already left the club, so Mark and I tried to get a taxi! Apparently, cab-drivers in Edinburgh don´t really care about driving people around or maybe Mark and I just looked to messed up! Anyway, after trying to catch a taxi for quite a while we decided to walk to the hostel! Well, actually we just decided to walk as none of us had any idea where we had to go! After wondering around without noticing anything familiar, we decided to ask an officer for directions. We went the way he told us…and had to ask for directions again…and again! Eventually, we recognized some familiar buildings and even found the hostel! Probably, you´ve noticed, that I avoided to mention any names! Sorry guys, I just wanted to avoid, I put my foot in it! Of course, I remember the names of most of you, but I´m not sure, I got every name correctly! Anyway, I had a blast! Was a great meet up and I hope to meet you again really soon!
