The next day there was actually very little that I needed to do for work, as we just needed to register, and people were setting up their displays.  As we entered so late, there wasn’t any table space left, so I was just going in on a pass, and trying to make some connections, which means I had no set up to do.  A bonus day to explore!  I got picked up by Nicole, an American who’s been working for an NGO in Managua for the past two years- we had met on a travel site on the internet a few months prior, as she’s quitting her job, and was thinking about stopping by Roatan for awhile.  When my trip came up, I contacted her to see if she’d have any time to meet up.  It was great- she took me to some great sights near Managua.  We went to the Masaya volcano, to Catarina overlooking Laguna Apoyo, to San Juan del Oriente, where most of the townspeople make beautiful pottery, and to Mayasa market, where we ran a little short on time, and had to head back so I’d make it in time to register.  That evening, I had dinner and drinks at the Intercontinental with a couple of the girls from Roatan.  Caught up with my work emails, and off to bed, as the next day was the official start to the big show.
