Finally Back In The U.S.!!

After a very rigorous customs experience in Bogota, I found I was only half way through!!  I landed in Atlanta thinking I was going to get my bags and meet my ride, but oh no!!  First, I had to wait 45 minutes to get my luggage to then have it searched by U.S. Customs, then to find out I had to check it back in so I could then go to the general baggage claim area. Leaving the country was easy and outstanding experience.  Returning was quite confusing and I repetitively was searched by Colombian and U.S. Customs, but I found out it was not just me, it is just how the process is.  I understand the need for security and a customs check, but there has to be a more efficient way to go about it!
