Rafiq and Me Right After Entering Stanley Park
Vancouver was planned to be a day trip and now I wish we had planned a lot longer there!! Vancouver
is a beautiful city!! We started in downtown and as far as sightseeing, drive through, but do not stop!! haha Drive on to Stanley Park. The leaves were changing on the trees and the park was so much fun! Rafiq and I regressed to children and took a lot of photos posing like we were models!! lol We then moved to go to the Capilano Suspension Bridge. Since our time was limited and it cost too much for a quick visit, we passed on having the personal experience. My next trip will allow time and money for the Capilano Suspeniton Bridge. We then move to go to Grouse Mountain SkyRide.
Vancouver Convention Center
As we drove up the road we passed a fish hatchery and found this to be an exciting, interesting, beautiful (see photos) and best of all FREE (or we did not pay)!! We then decided to skip the skyride because of the time spent at the hatchery. We then walked around Cleveland Dam Park. All of these facilities Capilano Suspension Bridge, Grouse Mountain SkyRide, the Salmon Hatchery and Cleveland Dam are all accessible from Capilano Road in North Vancouver.
On our way out of town we decided to stop at Queen Elizabeth Park. Once again, another beautiful park! At first we were concerned as we saw tennis courts and putt putt golf. We decided we would go to the restroom before getting back on the road and this was the only reason we stopped and it paid off! After taking care of business we decided to walk one trail and then we found why this park had be suggested! I had always wished to travel the Northeastern U.S. to see the leaves change, but Vancouver was more than I could imagine for beauty to see the change of seasons!! I will travel back to Vancouver and stay much longer next time!!
