Moving Out and Final Preps

So this was the big move weekend. I had been ferrying a few things up to my parents for them to store (important papers and the like), and some of my furniture is being used by my sister and brother-in-law in their new house (and had already been moved a few weeks prior). I had also sold back some CDs and books for cash and taken some other items to Goodwill. But this was the big move out and move in of the rest of my posessions into the storage unit.
Luckily it was a very nice day weather-wise - for early January in Ohio, temps in the upper 40s and dry constitutes very nice weather indeed. The move was rather uneventful, thankfully. Kudos to my family for the assistance in the move. So now my life as I know it exists principally in a 10' x 10' storage unit in Dayton, OH except for the above mentioned items and the gear that I plan on taking with me. Which I know at this point is still too much.
So that's the next objective. Filter down the items on the packing list. Figure out the important items that need to go verses those that can be left behind or obtained on the road. I also need to figure out the cash situation, finalize some other paperwork, and a few other last minute topics before departure on the 12th. Crazy, crazy, crazy. I'm really heading out on this incredible adventure.
