Campfire
After our diving at Phi Phi on Monday and with a day off on Tuesday the whole house decided to go and camp out on Andaman Beach for the night.  The house is in transition as 4 guys were going to be leaving in the next 6 days (1 Wed, 1 Thursday, 1 Sat, 1 Mon) so this was in some ways a celebration of their time on the project in Thailand.  After getting cleaned up we all went out for an evening dinner in town (at one of the Italian restaurants, no less) and from there we headed to the beach on the various motorbikes that a few people had.  We were prepared to start our own fire but when we arrived there was already embers from an earlier fire that made starting the fire a moot point.  Our biggest problem was protecting our fire from the ever rising tide that reached its highest point around 11:00 PM.

All in all it was a great time as we relaxed, had a few drinks, and just hung out with people from around the globe.  We shared tales of travels completed, travels still to come, and travels dreamed of in the future.  Eventually it came time for massages all around and then finally the fitfull sleep of the tired until the first light of day began to wake us up (or maybe it was the cool muggy dampness of morning, I'm not sure).  Anyway we cleaned up camp, put out the fire, watched a glorious sunrise, and then returned home to get some real sleep in our semi-comfortable beds.
