2nd Beach Clean-Up

Another beach clean up day, this time west of Ao Nang proper. Not as much large debris today, so our total numbers weren't nearly so impressive. But it was truly hot today, approaching 90F, and getting the smaller debris in the hot sun was rough. It's truly difficult to stay hydrated here. I'm drinking so much water and still know I should be drinking more. By the time we were done we still had 132 kilos of garbage collected from the beach.
One nice thing about Khlong Muang was that it was a good swimming beach so we were able to get in a dip for a while afterwards. Nick also brought a volleyball along so we took some time to knock the ball around for good fun. As hot as it was it was still a welcome respite from picking up all the trash. We returned home and rested in the late afternoon and evening. Called it a pretty early night as I was getting off to an early start in the morning.
Oh and the first traces of an illness that would sweep through many of the volunteers first appeared today. I would have my turn shortly as well, but more details later. First - Wat Tham Seua
