The second day of our vacation didn't begin quite as early as the first day did.  We were able to sleep until a very late 7:45 a.m.  We had to be up to have an early breakfast in order to make it to the show Spirit of The Dance at 10:00 a.m. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at the resort we stayed in.  We had bacon, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, hash browns, fresh fruit, french toast, etc.  We were plesantly surprised by the breakfast which was an all you can eat buffet that cost only $4.50 per person.  We went to the Branson Variety Theater to watch a show called Spirit Of The Dance.  We were lucky enough to have seats on the first row right in the center.

We enjoyed the two hour show filled wiht Irish dancing and song.  Overall it was a pretty good show to see.  After the Spirit of The Dance ended, we got back in our little Mitsubishi and hit the road again.  This time though we only drove about 30 minutes north of Branson to Ozark, Missouri.  We were on our way to eat at a place called Lamberts.  It was on the recommendation of a good friend that we make this drive.  She assured us that it would be worth our drive.  I have to give her credit as she was right!  It's a family owned restaraunt with wonderful service and food.  After having a scrumptous lunch, we headed back to Branson to spend the rest of the afternoon at the Shepherd Of The Hills.  We went to the top of the Inspiration Tower.

While at the top of the tower we enjoyed a panoramic view of the southern Missouri area.  Inspiration Tower has two levels at the top along with a gift shop at the base of the tower.  We took the elevator to the top level.  While we were on the top level we noticed a swarm of wasps surrounding the outside of the building.  The level we were on at the time was completely enclosed, however the level below us was open air.  Unfortunatley due to the hundreds of angry wasp we were unable to goout on the open air deck.  Then we took the Shepherd Of The Hills  homestead tour.  It's a tram ride around the property that tells the story of Harold Bell Wright (the man who wrote Shepherd Of The Hills) and the history of the book (which is based on real people from that area at that time).

We had a wonderful tour guide who called herself "The Yankee Grandma."  She was able to give us wonderful insight into the history of the book, Mr. Wright, as well as the history of the area.  After the homestead tour, we watched the outdoor drama, Shepherd Of The Hills.  We were again lucky to have front row seats.  The Shepherd Of The Hills has the biggest set of any show in Branson, as it as big as a football field.  The drama is the story out of the Shepherd of the Hills.  During an intermission, the audience was asked to joing the cast on the set for an old fashioned square dance.  While my husband and I didn't join in the square dance, we did go down and watch.  The weather was wonderful up until just after the drama started, as the sun had went down, as had the temperature.  My hubby and I spent most of the drama bundled under a blanket while watching the show.  I'd have to say that overall day 2 was a good day!!!
