It's time for another birthday. I try to make each one memorable be visiting a new or favorite place. That's what us travel junkies do, right! I fell in love with Vienna and decided to spend this birthday showing my husband a city that I love just spending time in.....no preasure....just beautiful views, good food, art, and music. What could be better than this?

Charming Spanish in Vienna
The Michelin guide lists this restaurant as "Charming". It's a very intimate atmosphere. The cuisine is Spainish and is very creative. The also have a great wine selection.

Rob had:
Crispy seabass on boletus-paella with beetroot-jelly . He ate every bit with a smile.

I had:
Tomato basil risotto and it was fabulous, aslo.

We chose a fantastic Spanish white wime to go with dinner.

The staff/chef was great. The assisted in offering to have a dish modified due to my being a vegetarian. Some chefs wouldn't do that, especially at sucha nice restaurant.

Expensive but so very convenient
Ok, so, It's expensive. But, it's at the airport.....maybe about 20 - 30 steps. That's hard to beat if you have a crazy early flight.

The rooms are generous in size and nicely appointed. The baths are complete with toiletries and hair dryer. The bed are fantastic as are the pillows. All of this should be expected of an NH and they do give it.

There are new rooms and older rooms in another wing. The newwer rooms are much nicer than the old. The price is the same so, ask for a room in the newer wing.

The staff is very friendly and willing to help with every need.

The room service menu is limited but, every thing I've had has been good. I've stayed here many times as Vienna is a hub for SkyEurope. My stay is always a pleasant one.
