Going to the hub-town...again...

So I left Koh Phangan in the horrible rainstorm just to arrive back in good old Surat Thani for the 3rd. time in 10 days...
There is'nt much to do in this town, except for looking for a way out. Try not to get ripped by the travel operators there, good idea to have some knowledge of how much the journey should cost first.
Some thai girl wanted to take picture of me and her, just like randomly. I felt like a bit of a celebrity...but i suppose there are'nt too many tourists here..
Coming here at 21:00 I had no plans on where to go further, I just knew i had to get out of that place. I could'nt make any plans from Koh Phangan, as the internet there cost a fortune. I felt depressed after those days, the first time in my trip i really felt like just going straight home and just lay on the sofa watching tv (and possibly also lookin for jobs eventually).
I eventually decided to take first train to Malaysia, despite the forecast of constant rain the next 10 days... i figured i could always catch a flight to Bangkok if it was horrible.
the whole deal was nothing but problems. First i could'nt get a ticket as the train was full, so I got a ticket on 3rd class to some town i southern thailand instead. To the region where my embassy says to avoid. Sitting on the train station i was totally soaked with water , does'nt help on the possible foot funghi that developped in the humid Koh Phangan. Then the electricity was down...again...so there I was sitting alone and wet in the middle of the night waiting 5 hours on a delayed shitty train while the mosquitoes where eating me alive. Not my best travel memory.
The train trip was just as bad as I imagined. Smelly crowded chart, extremely noisy train that I'm sure was about to derail at least 4 times during the 5 hour trip. Did'nt get any sleep...and the i found myself in Hat Yai.
