So things were starting to fall in place! after a few days here I was figuring out what was worth seeing, so I hired a Tuk-Tuk driver to drive me around to all the major sight in a day. The only thing I was'nt prepared for was the heavy rains that came every single afternoon.

The buddha's: so I saw enough Buddaha's during my time here. First there was the standing Buddha which was like a 45 meter high golden Buddha, then there was the lucky Buddha(don't go there, It is only special for the local, not as a tourist). Then there was the reclining Buddha, the laughing Buddha, the Buddha in the cave and the emerald Buddha at the grand palace. And of course there was a thousand other buddha's on most streets.

Grand Palace: preeeetty hefty.

Grand palace before a rain storm
Possibly the heftiest palace i've seen. I was spending a lot of times on the cartoones on the palace wall (on the inside) , and can really reccomend looking at those! Other than that the palace is very neat to look at, and the guards willingly pose for stupid tourists like me :)

At my hotel I met up with a fellow traveller, Christian from Canada. He was just an amazingly sociable guy that really helped me gain some new perspectives. He was pretty crazy, and spontaneous enough to come with me to the snake show.

The snake show was quite fun, there was a good deal of the really poisonous snakes from the Asian region there. We saw the show at 11 where they milked the snakes of the venom, then we waited till the next show at 14:30 which proved out to be muuuch better then the first show.

Friendly monks on a tourist trip to Bangkok
They brought out the largest and ,most agrresive Kobra they had. It was strikking constantly after the guards, who miraceosly managed to stay unbitten. They brought out many other snakes to, and finished with the grand finale where we could keep one of the snakes around the neck.To me as a vet it should'nt be a big deal, but it was really fun though, and my first time:)
To anyone going here i would reccomend to see the second show, and do not go when there's no show...won't give full use of your money then.

Later in the evening we were thinking we would check out the red light district (for entertainment purposes only of course..)
So we went to a Tuk-Tuk driver who said he would take us there really cheap. So we went with him, and he took us to this dark alley "club" with two big guys sitting outside.

Posing with textile workers
Of course I could see this as a acam in an instant, but then we were already there...so there were some uncomfortable moments were we had to pretend we wnt to eat first at a resturant cross the street, and then we ran out the back door to the street. A few minutes later the tuk driver came after us ! he was on our tail! so we made up a new crappy excuse and sniked off into a small dark alley. That proved to be a good idea ,as we got to see some real Bangkok life uncensoured! Christian and me where the ultimate tourists , talking to every local we could find and taking pictures of them and their enterprises. They seemed to like it ! it was really quite fun!

Patpong- Red light district: This is the craziest place I've seen in my life! here we are talking city of sin ! Sodoma and Gomorra rebuildt !
My god ! we entered straight into thegay street of course, and that was some scary shit ! Teenagers in Tanga coming out on the streets, and a multitude of gays trying to drag me into the "boys club".

Many nice signs!
We saw everything we did'nt want to see there!
Finally we got over to the real hetero street. Here we where constantly pursued by men trying to pull us into their strip joints, each promising more voluptious women then the next.
Offers of these Bangkok-only-pussy shows where hitting us in all directions!  "pleeease come see our veeeery nice pingpong shooting pussy, dart shooting Puss, smokin 3 cigarettes at the same time puss, blowing out cake candle puss, drinking a bottle of water and making it into cola puss! (magical?)"
It was quite surreal ! even worse so when we wandered the streets and looked into clubs which had 2 stages with 50 girls dancing on each of them , and 2-3 drinking customers, Red light district is in a recess period!
There were massive markets as well with hundreds of tourists and some locals(vendors). The tourists we saw were either 50 year old white men with a little teenage lady on the side , or in most cases just couples and friends checking the place out, like us !
Temptations everywhere, but we got out of there in one piece at last !
