We visited Paris the week before Christmas. It was very cold but the sun was out and the Champs Elysees was lit up. The lines were short for the Eiffel Tower. We had a wonderful time but want to go back in the spring when it's a little warmer.

Valencia

My husband took me to Valencia for Valentines Day.  We had a wonderful trip, the weather was perfect, the people were friendly, and the food was great.  We tried the local specialties, Paella (rice dish) and Agua de Valencia (sparkling wine and orange juice).  The Arts and Science center is incredible.  We walked along the coast of the Mediterranean, it was pretty empty this time of year but were lucky to have good weather.  We spent another day  exploring downtown and found beautiful architecture, good shopping and good food. 

Can't wait to go back!!

We'll be there next week! we're staying with a friend in barcelona, but plan on going to both Madrid and valencia before we have to be back in barcelona for the primavera sound festival on the 31st. any particular places in valencia we should check out? any good hotels? Thanks!
