two mohawks and a pair of highwaters

I’m becoming comfortable with the lifestyle of not working. At first it was quite hard to not have anything specific to do with my time or anything to plan my day around. But I’ve grown quite accustomed to doing nothing and being lazy…and I like it! I do a little work; 17 hrs a week. Sometimes it is three hours in the morning, sometimes four at night. And it is terribly easy. And now I live rent free. I’ve not swiped my credit card in a while. Shockingly, I checked my bank accounts the other day and had more money than I thought I did. That’s when I realized, shit man…I don’t want to work! I just want to travel. Traveling is so much more fun. It’s nice to chill out for awhile, and I like that I’m not running all over the place right now…I do feel a bit more grounded.
I’ve got lots of options! So fingers crossed one of them goes in my favor!
I’ll try to be less sluggish with the blog, although I’m not going too many places at the moment. Sometimes on my days off I take a bus out to some place random. Went out to the beach the other day. Tomorrow is supposed to be 21 (about 70)…warm for winter…so we (Rachel and Kara, the two oddly enough, American girls who work at the hostel as well) might head out to find more sand somewhere. The two girls are really nice, and it’s nice to have consistent roommates instead of a different face everyday. Although meeting new people everyday is fun as well. I like it here, the hostel is nice, the job is easy, the owners are really nice, and I get along well with the two other girls: we share a hatred of Shortland St (NZ’s worst show ever, but yet is always on) and a love of Friends and Flight of the Conchords.
