Customs lines were tooooooooo looooooooooong
October 11, 2008
After a long flight I arrived to Houston around 6:10am. The flight was good and I could sleep 4 hours more less. I needed to sleep since Saturday will be a really busy fun day, haha. I was lucky nobody sat next to me; otherwise I would have been talking the whole time, hehe.
Wow! it never took me so long to clear customs. Unbelievable! There were so many families with small kids, ufff. Well, more than usual. Once I was with the officers it was pretty quick, hehe. I was one of the last in line. It took me long to go to customs, because I was looking for a good picture to take, haha. Trying to go faster I switched lines 3 times, ooops! One of the officers looked at me so serious, that I was thinking he might be mad at me because I switched lines. And yes he didn't like it, but because he wanted to interview me, lol! And one of his colleagues just said: "Bad luck! I'm inteviewing her :P" Don't know why, but they love me!!! I claimed my bags - yes more than just 1 carry on one for 8 days, haha, checked them for the next flight and went to my gate. I was glad I was booked for a flight at 9am; otherwise I wouldn't have been able to do it, hehe. Well done, Minh!
I was ready, nothing else to be done, just relax and wait for my flight. I took a sit and watched the people running from one place to another, tried to get online - yes TB addiction. But didn't succeed :( Ok, I couldn't get online, but it didn't mean I was away from TB world, haha. I downloaded some pics and started to write a bit about the travel in a notebook, haha. Now I'm just typing what I wrote before, hehe. I was checking if I had everything. I wasn't missing anything, maybe a good cup of coffee to keep me awake... Actually I didn't need the coffee to be awake, I could hardly wait to be in Austin. So exciting...
