I've been at Berlin 10 years ago (in 1998) and before coming back i immagined to find a re-born city but not in way i've found it.. it's a full of live capital where another generation took place to the old one but nobody has forgotten the past..

The Sunflower Hostel
I've found this hostel on the internet and i chose this one cuz it's in a really good place: close to the subway (two stop to Alexanderplatz) and in the coolest borought of Berlin: Friedrichshain.
Alongside the neighboring districts of Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg, and Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain is now considered one of Berlin's most fashionable areas. It is known for its many bars, clubs, pubs, and cafes, concentrated in the vicinity of Simon-Dach-Straße and Boxhagener Platz. There are numerous squats in Friedrichshain, particularly in Rigaer Straße. In contrast to the more gentrified and expensive districts of Prenzlauer Berg and Mitte, Friedrichshain has a slightly run-down atmosphere, and its lower rents following German reunification attracted students and artists. Nowadays numerous restoration works are under way and Friedrichshain is developing on a fast pace becoming more and more gentrified itself.
About the hostel, it has large sunny rooms (some with balconies), hot showers, free bed sheets and lockers (but u have to deposit 3 € each), laundry facilities, 24th reception and bar, internet-access (not free) and lot of new friends..
