Dresden
September 17, 2008
After my long 2 days of travel, I finally made it to Dresden. I spent 4 days here, which is a little on the long side. Dresden is beautiful, so many museums and old structures to see, but during the week the main tourists are older people and school trips, so I started to get a little bored. Anyways I visited the Altstadt, and saw the Opera House, Zwinger Palace, Frauenkirche, and a few museums. I rented a bike and rode along the banks of the Elbe too, probably my favorite part of the trip. It was a great day for cycling, and on the riverbanks there are alof of old houses, mansions, some vinyards too. I rode down to the Blaues Wunder bridge then back to the Altstadt. Only complaint was one of the trains was made entirely of bumpy cobblestones that made for a bone jarring ride.
