One of my friends from college was able to purchase tickets for a limited admission day at Hershey Park so early in the morning I met up with my friends Becky and Ken for the several hour drive north.

At the park we met up with Matt and set off for a day of rides: SooperDooperLooper, WaveSwinger, the Claw (terrifying but a thrill), Trailblazer, Great Bear, Rodeo, Sidewinder, Storm Runner, Whip, Wild Mouse, Wildcat, Tidal Force, and Lightning Racers.

Of course no visit to Hershey would be complete without a visit to Chocolate World and the ride through the candy making process.  Since Chocolate World stayed open a little later than the actual park, this was our last stop.

I grew up near Hershey and my relative, Harry Lebkicher, loaned money to bail Milton out of bankruptcy --- if you visit Founder's Hall, there's a bust of Uncle Harry there (and a local restaurant named Lebkicher's). My mother's maiden name is Lebkicher, which appropriately enough, translates as 'cookie baker'!
