We're going where?!

Well, we landed at LAX in the early afternoon. I thought that we were going to drive straight to El Centro (about 6 hours) but we didn't have to be there for a couple of days as the rest of the gang weren't going to arrive until the day after next. After arguing with AVIS for half hour or so we picked up our hire cars. There were eight of us so it made for a comfortable 4 per car. As we headed off I heard someone ask if anyone knew how to get to Laguna Beach. Beach!!! I thought we were going to the desert! But what the hey. I'm not the one in charge so I'll just go where ever they want me to. We got there just as the sun was starting to set and we all headed down to the beach for a swim/run/stroll while watching the rest of the sun set. I did dip my toes in but decided it still wasn't warm enough to go further than that.

After a little rest we got dressed up and headed for a roof top bar in a neighbouring hotel. It was a very nice, calm atmosphere and we all tucked into the cocktail menu before going for dinner. We did go a bit mad on the cocktails as I was pretty tipsy by the time we went to find somewhere to eat. That coupled with the half carafe I had with dinner proved to be a bit too much and I staggered back to the B&B at about 11 pm.
