Angie's Big Day

I blogged about her husbands stag party so may aswell briefly mention her wedding eh, it would be rude not too. Besides, it was technically just a stop over for me coming back from Kyrgyzstan to Costa Rica.
It was a beautiful day, uncharacteristically nice and sunny. We made it slightly earlier as my neighbours supplied me with a card and Bryan the words to put in his card. Happy days!
Weddings are always interesting, in that the men put an uncharacteristic (much like the weather) amount of effort into their appearance while the women (not so uncharacteristically) put a hell of a lot of effort into looking as stunning as possible. None more so than Angelique of course though. Not that Im suggesting that women normally need to put in more effort than guys but lets face, they normally do make a lot more effort than us in general.
It was a lovely ceremony even if Mark did accidently suggest that there was a reason that he shouldn't marry Angie!! The kids also took the ceremony to mean play time with Lauryn constantly turning to make faces at me while Jack and his little buddy ran/crawled around all the pews having a hell of a lot of fun.....I was told I was too big to join in.
After the ceremony, things really got going in the hotel for the wedding reception.....after a few drinks. The speeches were pretty good too. I was happy that the best man didnt stay true to his word and include me in the speech. I know a lot of her family really well which was a lot of fun especially when I was introduced to her niece's boyfriend and gave him the whole big brother speech!! A lot of my friends were there so things really got going proper.
All too soon, however, it came time for me to jump in the taxi to catch my flight to Atlanta...which ended up being delayed by two hours which is of course 2 hours that I could have spent drinking with my mates.
