Nelson Lakes National Park (take 2)
October 2, 2008
This morning was bright, beautiful and sunny and a bit on the cold side. My plan was to see Abel Tasman, but by now I had come to my senses. The park, which is mostly a beach park, is nice, but it is geared for a summer visit. I was much more interested in backtracking to Nelson Lakes and attempting another climb up Mt Roberts for the amazing views now the that the weather had cleared. So that's just what I did. Once again, a day's delay made all the difference.
