Motueka and Abel Tasman

Because I didn't spend the day hiking as planned (in fact I had actually planned two full days of hiking, but had to use one of them at the glaciers), I now found myself in Motueka with nearly a full day to kill.  I decided I'd spend the afternoon driving up the backside of Abel Tasman park.  But the storm which brought snow to Nelson's not far away, moved over Motueka and dumped plenty of rain as drove up the narrow roads in the steep valley.  With little visibility, I finally just pulled over and took a nap in the car.  Good thing I did, because not long after, a herd of sheep was being led down the road, blocking all traffic for miles.  All in all, another wasted day.
