Mom and Laura in front of Wait Chapel

Mom and Laura came in yesterday (on Allegiant Airlines - only an hour and a half from Sanford-Orlando!).  I'm soooo excited they're here!  Today we drove around Winston just to check it out.  We went to Wake Forest and walked through the square.  It looked different with no leaves!  It was FREEZING today, too, so we didn't stay long - the wind was QUITE chilling.  :)

Then we drove around and saw some of the nice neighborhoods near Jesse's and my church (meets in a middle school in a neighborhood) just for fun.  We headed over to Walmart to buy Thanksgiving dinner supplies, but ended up going to Harris Teeter for a cheaper turkey.

All in all kind of an errand-running type of day, but still fun!  This afternoon we made caramel popcorn (a super easy microwave recipe) that turned out amazing!  We practically ruined our dinner, but not quite - you can always find room for Olive Garden salad and breadsticks!!!

Tonight we made a fire for the first time in our fireplace!  We used personal documents that need to be shredded as kindle... haha.  Tomorrow we'll drive up to Fancy Gap, VA and drive some of the VA Blue Ridge.
