On the bumpy roads
Got up early and felt the soared muscles... The weather was definately not good and it was a light rain. Couldn't see the volcano because of the fog...
Headed for a huge breakfast: Gallopinto! Just to start up the day...As we ate like it was the end of the world, we left the hotel 1 1/2 hour later.... :) The staff said..."gosh, you guys eat a lot...where are you from...?" lol...we're just warming up-..
We hit the road and headed to MOnteverde. our goal was to do the Canopy on the way there...but what we didn't know was that it would take us 7 hours to get there....
first stop was on the road, when some cute animals (sorry, but i really don't know their name..*blush*..) *and fed them with apples! they're such cutties ...the second stop was when a cow got on the road.
.. third stop, and after such emotions, was in a nice coffee shop by the road that it was also a gallery...After a cappucino, and with our stomachs still full of the gallopinto, headed to monteverde. The road was terrible and very easy to go the wrong way...some people from the villages we went by, were seling hand made maps...so we wouldn't get lost...again! 4USD later, we found our way through the bumpy roads with "the map".
Got to Monteverde and found out that the Canopy ends at 4 pm :( we had to stay for the night...had dinner (this time I had a burguer..) and found out that there is no night life in Monte Verde / Sta Elena... :( if there is....we didn't find out the spot..
We arranged the canopy for the next morning at 7 am with Selvatura and went to sleep...it was a rough day :)
*note: Thanks to EMcB, now i know these animals are called CoatiMundis!! thanks!!
