During my second day I rented a bike and explored some little villages such as Zelve, Pasabag, Cavusin and also a few valleys. Along the way there were some limestones nicely balancing on the pointy rocks and I heard a lot of birds. It was quite heavy with a mountain bike to drive all day long through dry sandy ground and not that easy in some valleys too. You would never guess but yes I got lost, lol! None the less this brought me to some lovely places and some delicious grapes. I continued the main road then and reached Zelve. In Zelve, there is another open air museum, very big but unfortunately some very little parts are not accessible because the risk of falling rocks.
Cavusin is closest to Göreme. The area was so breathtaking though I still wanted to drive through Red valley by bike because I heard this is one is very beautiful. This is very true and I discovered some places that are seen a lot in travel guides but equally some I had never seen before on any image what so ever.
The guy whom I rented the bike to, saw I was tired but very happy and when i returned the bike he gave me some nice apple tea. Turkish people are so friendly and open once if they see you have respect for them and you are interested in their culture. That is the reason why I arrived pretty late back into the hostel but I was lucky, the cook still wanted to prepare a meal for me! This was also the time when I drank a beer from the Czech republic in Turkey: Budweiser. Really funny but strange as well. Was way to excited about my experiences so I couldn't sleep and decided to do an evening walk. Spotty was thinking the same way and followed me all the way to Göreme. I knew it was going to be a heavy day the day after but who cares when you are in such a place of the world..
