Lesvos

My first journey to Greece! I did some research I noticed that Lesvos was a pretty island. So I booked a holiday to Lesvos. We arrived at Mytilini Airport and travelled with a bus to the other side of the island, Petra. The Apartment was really simple but the weather was marvelous! The sea and the beach were also great, just a really nice start of the holiday.

The next day we went to visit the city of Petra with an ancient church on the top of the hill. Very nice place to visit. The thing you notice is that almost everyone is riding a scooter. Sometimes you see old man with a donkey. That's old school way of travelling in Lesvos. Petra is a nice place to go with beautifull small streets with shops.

In that holiday we visited also the town of Molyvos, which has a castle on the top of a hill and all the houses are build towards the castle. So if you walk in the narrow streets and you go upwards, you will always end at the castle. Very funny! There is also a harbor with fishing boats, al very picturesque!

There are many other things to do on the island. The island is most beautifull in the spring, said the locals. So if you want to go to a very beautifull island go to Lesvos in spring!
