Why Egypt?
The most important thing why I went to Egypt where the ancient beauties of Egypt. I always wanted to see the Sphinx, the pyramides and just experience the life of an Egyptian. So I booked a holiday for 2 weeks in Hurghada, the famous beach place of Egypt. From there you can visit the most memorable places of Egypt and when you want to do nothing, just relax on the beach!
The holiday
We stayed in a 4 stars hotel in Hurghada, Regina Style. The first thing you notice is the hot weahter. We arrived in the evening but it still was more than 40 degrees Celcius! And through the night the temperature wont drop! The first days where to acclimatize. We went to the beach and did a little shopping in Hurghada.
The fourt day we went to Cairo! The big moment! We travelled with a bus, the length of the drive was 6 hours.
The next day we visited a papyrus factory, and some specialized men who made special glass. And then, the pyramides! It's so different then the pictures you see in every book. The height, the beauty, the stones, everything. Everyone should go there and visit the pyramides.
The rest of the holiday we visit the valley of Kings near Luxor, also a great place to visit. The other things we did where relaxing on the beach and diving in the Red Sea!
Summary
I you want to see old places, Egypt is the perfect spot! The Red Sea is also great to swim in and also perfect for diving! But the big problem is the weather if you visit Egypt in summer. I think it would be better if you visit Egypt in winter. Sometimes it was nearly 50 degrees Celcius! The only thing you do then is Sweating! But I recommend visiting Egypt to everyone!
In the neighbourhood it's known as the cheap and a below average hotel. We were there 2 weeks and there are some things not to good about this hotel. The food for example is mostly the same and personally it's was not my favourite food. The restaurant where your eat is firstly a place to eat. Not a nice place where you want to be for long.
The people who work there are all very friendly. The guy who cleaned our room was a good guy and told us the places we could visit during our stay.
The location in the city of Hurghada is good. Shops are close and nice things to do near the hotel. The beach is okay but its small and separated from the hotel next to this hotel.
But the hotel is cheap and if you have not many demands about a hotel it's a good stay. A sort of operating base for the activities you want to do in Egypt.
