almost home, and guided by our sistership.

On all the things there is an end, so also for this flight. Before we  made the final trip we wanted to try to repair the cabin heater. The trip from heraklion to antwerpen  was so cold that we tried everthing to repair that thing. The heater is a fuel operated heater,so i asked the airport authority for a fireman for back up if something will happened. The guy told me that he will arranged a back up.After 10 minuts when we looked out of the cockpit windows, there where 4 firetrucks of the airport, with about 12 firemans. That was a great backup. We feld save to start the work. But the heater , didn't wants to operate. So we had to get more blankets and hoped that the temperature was not to cold.

We started the last leg with a fully loaded DC4,a lot of people came to the airport to see us leave guided by our another classic plane , the DC3.For me it was the last time to see that plane operate,a few monts later the plane crashed, killing 32 people.

After a hour flight we made some rounds over the city of Amsterdam and then to schiphol airport. When the wheels touching the dutch soil we where home. And when we parked the plane and the music started to play, the engines shuts down and  we ..........let all the emotions flow.We made it.
