Just For Laughs
This is a street fair that goes on for a week, full of comedians, food, games, music, and then goes on to other Canadian cities. It is well worth the trip. Incidentally, I never heard of the fair until I stumbled upon it here, and I'm thankful I did. There are large figures that wander around, giant bugs and animals, and so much more. There was a band that used a digideroo and synthesizer and a flute. On one corner some seats were set up showing videos of the French Canadian version of Candid Camera, very entertaining. If you ever plan a trip to a Candian city, try planning it when Just For Laughs is passing through. I ate at a Vietnamese restaurant. Unlike in the US, only the owner was Vietnamese. A caucasian guy kept asking me how I was doing and if he could get me a drink, it took a minute for my narrow mindedness to realize that he was the waiter. Out on the street was a drink stand, where this French Canadian girl was selling drinks. I talked to her for a only few minutes, but wouldn't mind spending more time with her, like sixty years or so. Check out my video of the event.
