On July 4, 2008 I had the opportunity to drive back from North Carolina to my home in California . Instead of driving straight back like I did on the way to NC, I planned a long road trip to see as much of the US as possible. It came out to 31 days, 10,000 miles, and the experience of a lifetime. My main destinations were theme parks, but I made other stops as well. You never know what you will find along the road

Coventry Resort

road to Coventry

So while on this road trip, of course many stops got the axe because of time, and resorts such as coventry dropped off my schedule like flies. I was able to make it to Coventry resort in Vermont, ironically I've been to their other resort in North Carolina, which was much smaller. This one fronts a lake. They just had a 5k run there a few weeks ago, so I walked it, following markers on the trees. They obviously weren't expecting too many runners, since the trail was definitely not runner freindly, you had push trees out of your way. Couldn't take any pictures there, but took a few nearby of some fly covered cows. When I got closer, the cows ran from me. Stopped in Milton at a Deli, can't remember the name of it though.
