Kitchen, the refrigerator runs on propane

A mile down the road from Dutch Wonderland is the Amish House and Farm, where you can take a tour of and Amish house and learn more about them. The area has grown to the point where the house is in the parking lot for the Target right next door, and you can't really see the farm from the highway.

I took the tour and learned quite a bit, like they have refrigerators run on propane. They had some things for sale there along with some incredible quilts (for incredible prices). It began to rain really hard so I left early without taking a tour of the farm. Personally I would like to go to a real Amish farm  and live with them for a week.

On the drive to Dorneypark on a two lane highway, it was raining hard as I rounded a bend. Coming straight at me was a black horse pulling a black buggy! Kind of shocks you. You can tell which farm along the way are Amish since they have buggies in their garages, and you might see one of them walking around, in this case I saw a guy running to the house to get out of the rain. So when it comes down to it, I saw very little of the Amish life.
