Day 1 - Flight to Japan
September 1, 2007
Itinerary:
Frankfurt - Milano - Narita
My first major trip with a plane started at Frankfurt Airport.
My friend, Kristin, and me arrived three hours before departing. We didn't wanna miss our plane. Her parents brouht us all the way from a small village near Mainz.
At first the airport frightened me and I was awstruck how people could find their way, but in the end the system was quite easy.
We checked in and now had three hours to kill. So we discovered a starbucks and sat there excited talking about the trip.
But after a while this was started to get boring. We decided to discover the airport. Going with the airport train was fun, even as we got a little bit lost. But with still one and a half hour to kill, it was no problem.
We discovered the Viewing Platform, where you can watch the planes take off or land. Unfortunaly it wasn't for free and you got checked for dangerous things. It was a little bit uncortable.
But with a little bit of innocent looking a puppy eyes we got through with just paying half. Thanks to the nice cashier guy.
