Wine Tasting
We attended a unique wine tasting event.  They designed the tasting to show how wine and food interact by using little bites of different kinds of food that we ate along with the 5 different types of wines.  The salty olives made the wine taste different from the ripe tomatoes.  The plain chicken blended well with some wines where the pesto chicken did not.  It was a very interesting event.  Lin was inspired to order one of the wines at dinner and we tried out our newly acquired knowledge.  I think it will take more time to digest it all.

Today we docked at Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.  The town is small enough that we just walked around and got a good overview of it all.

The old church was rebuilt 5 times, with the latest being only a hundred years ago.  The mansion we toured was built by a shipping merchant who went bankrupt only a few years after building it in the late 1800s.  They let us take pictures inside, so we took a bunch.

We browsed thru a few of the shoppes and Lin found a few treasures.  This island province has a population of about 100,000 and Charlottetown is their capital, so there were lots of tourist shops near the port.  This is almost the end of the season.  Only three more ships will dock here in the next week or so.

The weather was cool (high 50s) and windy.  Just as we made our way back to the ship it started to sprinkle.  On the way back thru the terminal building we saw scores of people sitting on the floor with their laptops.  They have free wifi access right there by the ship, so I'm going to hook up and get a full dose today.  We sail at 6pm.

Tomorrow is another day at sea.
