A short stop at an Art festival thingy
Guess neither of us paid much attention to what Harriet said before we took off from Tucson, maybe except for Dan who had heard her say something about a stop somewhere on the way to Tombstone. (sorry Harriet)As it turned out, we didn't catch up with them and wasn't so sure about WHERE exactly this stop was planned, so we continued on our way.
When we got to Benson, we saw this art festival thingy being held at the Trinity Church, so we decided to stop there, since we were way ahead of the others at this point.
We only meant to be there for a few minutes, but I think we ended up being there for about 45 minutes... so much for the 10 minute stop, huh?
We walked around the place and looked at all sorts of stuff. Jim was being a fun one and goofed around with a stick horse (because I said I wanted to go horseback riding) and then he goofed around with hula hoops. We sure had a good laugh about it... haha
We looked at some jewelry that they claimed was real Navajo, but I guess they hadn't accounted for a real Navajo being able to spot the fakes... LOL
Anyway; time runs fast when you're having fun, and after walking around the entire place, seen a whole lot of things and also a couple of Alpaca's that were totally adorable and shooting some pictures, we had to be on our way. I was thirsty and so was Adrian, so I got us some water before we took off. It wasn't until we were back in the car that Adrian noticed it was Holy Water... shit. How weird that we didn't burn on the inside... LMAO
This short stop was a fun one, and I'm glad we did it. :o)
