A lot of fun in the biggest little city in the world
Reno β the Biggest Little City in the World.
After our stop in Lake Tahoe, Erin took me to Reno. It's just a short drive from Tahoe, and since the weather seem to hold up, it was all good. It wasn't dark yet when we got into town, so we couldn't see the lights yet.
We parked at the Circus Circus (free parking) and stopped by the casino. Erin wanted me to gamble a bit β after all β I couldn't be in a gambling city and not gamble.. LOL.
I didn't have any cash left, so she sponsored me with 3 bucks. I played the slot machines and won a total of 8$. Hahaha.. it was fun, but I don't wanna gamble too much, since I know I would get hooked on it. ;o)
After Circus Circus we took to the streets, and by now it was dark and we could see the lights. WOW... I've never seen anything like it in my life. So much neon, it's incredible... pink, green, purple, blue.. you name it. It was insanely cool... even the pink at the Eldorado Hotel and Casino. And I don't really like pink.. LOL
The outside elevator at the Eldorado was also totally pink.. cool :o)
After walking around, taking a lot of pictures of everything and anything, we were getting hungry. As we had passed the Eldorado Casino on one side, Erin had noticed the Brew Brothers and that they had been awarded the best brewery or something. .. and it was located inside the Casino, so we decided to try it out. We headed inside from the other side of the Casino and WOW.. it was amazing. The fountain in the middle was fabulous and HUGE. Photo ops for sure... snap, snap, snap. HA HA ;o)
Ok, done with the fountain and headed up one floor and located the Brewery. Got a table and ordered our beer. Can't go to a Brewery and not have beer.. you got that, right? Hehe... Took a little longer to order the food, but I decided on a bacon/cheese burger w/fries and Erin chose a selection of sausages. You know you're getting a good burger, when the waiter ask how you want it. Well done, of course. ;o)
We had to wait a while for the food, but man was it worth it. Sooooo yummy. The burger was absolutely perfect and it was more like a steak then a burger. And it was so HUGE... I so couldn't finish it, even though I wanted to since it was so good.
And I have to say, even the beer was good and I'm not a beer drinker. This place is really worth a visit if you're in town.
Our time here was awesome and we got a real good laugh as we got the bill. First the waiter came with one bill, but we asked if he could split it on the 2 of us, and that was no problem. We sent our cards with it and when he came back he said to me; you're Liz and said Yes. Then he turned to Erin and said; For you and we bursted out laughing. It was like I had a name and she was βfor youβ. It was so hilarious at the moment, and thinking of it still makes me laugh at it. LOL
Well, we paid up and was on our way. More pictures by the fountain. Got this couple to take our picture and they were so sweet and funny. Wish I could remember what they said, but I can't. Maybe Erin remembers?
Anyway; before leaving the Casino we had to pass this coffee shop thingy, and since Erin wanted/needed coffee we stopped. OH MAN.. they had a wide variety of chocolate covered strawberries and also other yummy stuff. We settled with a couple of covered strawberries each and even though we both wanted one right away, I was kinda playing strict and saying No, wait till we're in the car. HAHAHA... I wanted one just as much as Erin did, but we did manage to restrain ourselves. But once in the car... MMMMM. Erin took hers first.. snap, snap.. new pictures. My turn.. she was snapping pictures of me, like she was getting paid and I guess the look on my face was priceless. She started laughing and so did I. I couldn't finish the strawberry because I was laughing so hard, and when I looked at it, I had just eaten some of the chocolate and it looked, well... funny.. LMAO
Thanks, Erin... for taking me to Reno and for the fun we had. :o)))
