A great day at Lake Tahoe...
Our drive thru the Sierra Nevadas to Lake Tahoe went so well. No snow and the road was dry. We saw a little snow along the side of the road, but to be this late in the year, it was very little. But of course, in the distance we could see the snowcapped mountain tops.
We drove to the south side of Lake Tahoe and it was so beautiful. I have no problem imagine how busy it must be during summer. With no real plan, we just drove to a parking lot right next to the beach and went out and took some pictures of the beach, the lake and of course each other. Haha...
Didn't stay at that spot that long, and drove along thru Tahoe, entered Nevada and turned around and went back into California. We stopped at the Cal/Nev border to shoot some pics. And since we were hungry, we went to the Subway and got something to eat. It was the first time I've seen they have pizza at a Subway. And of course I had to have one. They are perfect sized for one person and even though it wasn't the best pizza in the world, it was eatable. :o)
We took our food and again we parked by the beach (different place), found a bench, sat down and chilled. Eating our food, watching the people, chatting and having a great time. Oh, yes.. we took some more pictures.
There was one funny thing we saw on the Lake. There was this guy out there, and for a while due to him being so far out, it looked like he was skiing. Looked both weird and funny. But of course he wasn't skiing... he was on a surfboard or something, and with one long ore, he was paddling his way across the Lake. Wow.. what great shape that guy must have been in. Looked kinda cool though... :o))
OK.. after eating etc.. we decided to take the chance that the weather would hold up, and went to Reno... next entry ;o)
