A fun day in the sun at Universal Studios :o)
The day had arrived for my visit to Universal Studios, much thanks to Alice (alicegourmet).
She came to Joy's and picked me up around noon and we headed straight to Hollywood and the Studios.
I think Alice already had a one year pass, and that's what I got too. Yes, I'm planning on going back and since the year pass was just $8 more then a day pass, the choice was fairly easy. :o)
We walked around and looked at so many cool things. Alice tried on a Sponge Bob hat and looked so cute. :o) There were so much to look at, so many things to try and we had to start somewhere. At first we just walked around, looking and shooting pics. We walked thru the House of Horror and had fun in the dark. I even got spooked a bit in there... LOL.
After the House of Horror we walked around and looked at sets from famous movies. There were the cars from Gone in 60 seconds, the sets from Notting Hill, Jurassic Park, Back to the Future... you name it. They had it all. It was a hot day and we were getting thirsty, so we found a parlor and got some water. I got icecream cravings and got one. It was pretty good. :o)
After finishing the ice cream , we decided to take the Revenge of the Mummy ride. We couldn't bring any lose things with us, like bags, waterbottles, cameras etc, so we stored our things in a locker. Then we got in line for a short, but fun ride. I was a bit worried about my neck beforehand, but it turned out it wasn't too bad. :o) As we were to pick up our stuff from the lockers, there were some problems opening them, so we had to get some help. It didn't take that long before we had our things and was on our way to see some other things.
We went back up to the upper floor and decided to take the tour ride. On our way there we “bumped” into Frankenstein. He was guarding the path down to the parks tour ride trains.
We were taken thru a huge area of movie and tv sets. I can't remember them all, but there were CSI, My Name is Earl, Desperate Housewives and movie sets from Jaws, War of the Worlds, Fast and the Furious just to mention a few. It was a blast for me to see the park and sets from of so many great movies.
As everybody knows; the time flies fast, when you're having fun, so it was soon time to head back. On our way to the exit, we walked up on the shark from Jaws. I just had to have some fun with it, and Alice shot some pics of me with my head in its jaws.. LOL
We also took some pictures in front of the Universal Studio Globe. Had to have the Classic pic .. hehe
Thank you, Alice for a wonderful day :o))
