A cozy, charming cafè
I went here to have lunch with a good friend of mine. It's a charming little place and cozy outdoor area. It has a nice atmosphere and the waitresses are very sweet and serviceminded.

The food was good, although not exceptional. I had the grilled chicken breast and fried potatoes. It normally also come with lettuce and veggies, but me being so picky, I didn't want them.

About the Den;
For lost locals and tourists, Gypsy Den is an oasis.

Gypsy Den opened in 1994 in the LAB anti-mall.
It started out as a small coffee shop and evolved into a café and bakery.

The original owners, Catherine Graziano and Joe Ongie, created a space unlike anything in Orange County.

Open 7 days a week, we offer an eclectic and tempting menu of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All of our breads, pastries, and mouth-watering desserts are made fresh, in house, everyday! Our famous vegetarian soups and chili are created from scratch- never from a can! All of our salads, sandwiches, and pasta dishes are made everyday, fresh, and flavorful.

For the coffee connoisseur, we proudly serve only organic coffee, espresso, and teas. And for the more adventurous, we offer an impressive menu of blended coffee drinks, chais, and fresh fruit smoothies.

Gypsy Den opened in 1999 in Santa Ana’s downtown arts district.
This one offers double the space, an expanded menu, beer and wine, and live entertainment.

Check out our monthly calendar to discover new acts and revisit old friends. Stop in for a quick healthy lunch, or spend the afternoon on our patio sipping chai and chatting with our wait staff.

Gypsy Den was sold to Ryan Shuck and Emily Meyer in 2006. Ironically, they first met at Gypsy Den years earlier.
