First beautiful sunset and then TB dinner

This blog will capture my adventures in AZ and Cali. But also my preps for the trip. I started this blog October 2 and it will be continuously updatet till I'm back home again on November 30 :o)) Countdown; it's all over... :o( but I had a blast :o)

First beautiful sunset and then TB dinner

Headed back to Tucson after our Tombstone and Bisbee adventures and as we got closer to the city the sun was setting. And how beautiful it was. The dark golden color was simply gorgeous. Sitting in the backseat allowed me to shoot a bunch of pictures and some came out pretty good. :o))

Donny and Robin dropped me and Adrian off at the Hilton Parking lot and we headed back to the hotel to freshen up and change clothes for the meet-up dinner. I lay down for a little while and was sooo tired, I didn't want to get up to get ready, but of course I did. Couldn't bail out on my first TB dinner. :o)

Harriet had arranged for our dinner at the el charro cafe, a Mexican restaurant where they had set up a long table for us.

Or actually they had first set up 2 smaller tables, but as we wanted to be at one long table, they re-arranged it. As each got there, Harriet wanted us to pose for a fun pic... not sure how fun mine was, but I did pose. LOL..

When everyone was there and seated at the table, we ordered our drinks and food. As this actually was my first attempt on real Mexican food, I had no idea what so ever what to order. Didn't know what anything was, so I just went with something that seemed at least a little familiar. Something with chicken.. and even now I can't remember what it was called. But it was rather good...:o))

After everyone had eaten, the time had come to give me, the furthest traveler, a gift from everyone. Harriet came up and gave me a T-shirt with everyones profile name and real name on and then Mellanie came up and gave me a pink T-shirt and shot glass from Las Vegas.

So far so good.. but then the waiters came up and I guess I should have seen it coming, but I didn't... they walked up with a sombrero and a bottle of tequila. And out of the blue, one of them grabbed my hair, pulled my head back and poured tequila down my throat. OH SHIT... me having a neck injury, that was so NOT good. So when he tried to do it again, I had to stop him and tell him that I have a neck injury and that my neck can't be bent like that. So he just poured more tequila in me without pulling my head back.

I tried to keep the pain from everyone so that I wouldn't ruin the party, and I went with to the next place we were supposed to go to. After finding out there were a 5$ entrance fee, we didn't wanna go there and waited for Harriet to show up. What happened after that I'm not sure of, but my pain kept getting worse, to a point were I could no longer hide it and Adrian had to take me back to the hotel. When I was back in my room, I found my painkillers and went to bed.

It was sad that a great day and evening had to end that way, but I had no choice...

and my increased pain was there for a few more days, before slowly getting back to “normal”. Guess it took me almost a week, but it goes to show how careful I have to be....
