Dinner at Mediterranean Garden Grill w/ Travbuddies and other friends
The time had finally come for the LA TB meet up. Unfortunately there were fires burning at various places around the city and some of the people who meant to come, lived on the other side of one of the fires and couldn't make it. Hopefully next time....
But for those of us who did make it, we had a great time. We met at the Mediterranean Garden Grill in Monrovia, close to the border to Pasadena. I think this restaurant is one of Joys favorite ones, both when it comes to the food they're serving and also the HOOKAH.. LOL
The meet-up was set to start at 6pm, and most of the attendants were there on time. Just a few came later, and I think they were Rob's friends and not on TB at all.
A friend of mine, who wasn't on TB at the time, also was there having fun with all of us. He's such a great guy and quite funny too. As we were writing our name tags, we of course wrote our profile names as well as our real names. Since he still wasn't on TB, I said non-tb more as a joke, but he used it on his name tag and when he later signed up that's the profile name he used. HAHA...
We had a tremendous amount of starters, and it looked like the starters were our dinner.
As we were eating, there were a belly dancer entertaining. She got some of the male guests to dance with her, and from our party it was Dan (Rotorhead85) that had the honors... if you can call it that. But it was fun to watch and I hope he had fun dancing with her. :o)
We had a few newbies at this meet-up as well. Maureen (maureenie) and Angelica (latinababe). Great ladies. I was kinda like a newbie too, since the Tucson meet-up the weekend before was my first one. ;p
