Today, my friend Mary and I went on a shopping spree to help me get ready for my trip. We went to REI and found a great down, brown jacket with a hood. It was pretty expensive but well worth the price since I will most likely get a lot of wear out of this! And it's been five years since I bought a new jacket for Europe, too. I started reading my Rick Steves' Eastern Europe book today while my family was watching a movie. I didn't get very far since my 10-month old niece wanted to play. She always makes me smile.
