an ocean walk

So I am finally fulfilling my (and many others) dream to leave it all behind and travel to the other side of the world. Starting in Oz and then who knows what? I have an 11 hr layover in the beijing aiport and over 24hrs of flying heading my way.

an ocean walk

Well today we rode the bus from sydney to coogee bay. We did an awesome walk from coogee beach to bondi beach. I was finally able to put my feet in the super clean and soft sand and look into the crystal clear water. I would have swam but it was damn cold and left my swimming shorts in my room. The walk itself was beautiful. This is the only place I have seen a palm tree next to pine tree. There is a great diversity of plants and they all seem to love the environment.

After riding the bus back from bondi I met up with my german and british friends and went to darling harbour for dinner. I finally got to eat some roo. Kangaroo that is, and it was delicious. The restuarant was very nice, the first place i have gone where the waiter puts the napkin on your lap.  We finished dinner and went to the bar, had a couple beers and went to bed. Another wonderful day.

Kangaroo is very good, try one in a stew if you get the chance, or even tail barbecued!
