Barbie!!!
I posted I was going to New Orleans, but wasn't sure if I'd meet new TB's there. I have friends and colleagues in the city, plus I have already met one last February. Therefore I was really surprised when I got a comment from a new TB. His name was Shannon and what really surprised me was the fact that he just joined the site 2 weeks ago, haha. OMG, this story sounded so familiar to me. I met my 1st TB in real life just a couple of days after I joined the site, yeah!!!

I started to get in touch with him when I arrived to the city. We were writing to each other until he gave me his phone number and communication became much easier and faster, hehe. He told me he had plenty of time and would be waiting for my call, so we could meet.
Shannon got a Peruvian Teja :)
I wanted to meet him last night after business dinner, but I couldn't. So sorry, he was waiting for my call. Sorry Shannon!!!! But it would have been too weird for my boss if I left the restaurant with a boy he doesn't know. By the way, Blair is my American dad, haha.

Finally we met on Thursday. He'd pick me up from my hotel and we'd go to the French Quarter. He arrived on time, but I wasn't ready, shame on me! I was just on the phone when somebody knocked at my door. OMG! I couldn't believe it! It was him!!! I was so glad and gave him a big hug. I was also sort of proud I was the 1st TB he was meeting in real life, hehe. We started to talk like old friends since the 1st minute, hehe. After 5 min we left. First we went to a couple of supermarkets looking for a Western Union.
so many daiquiris...
I had to cash some money. But we weren't able to find one. I told him I still had a couple of days in the city, so I'd take care of that later, hehe.

Then we went to the French Quarter. During the drive we were chatting and I could notice he's a really nice guy! So friendly and loves to travel. He might be new on TB, but definitely not on traveling. He has the travelbug, haha. He was also telling me about the city, the areas we were crossing, etc. Finally we arrived to downtown and parked. Then we started walking to the French Quarter and he was telling me where he and his friends usually go to party, yeah! But before keep on walking better to get something to drink. We were walking through Bourbon Street, so our hands shouldn't been empty, haha. There are plenty of bars there, which have these big machines with daiquiris, haha.
Shannon & Yadi
I got a Hurricane and Shannon a Vodka.

Bourbon street wasn't packed, but there were still some people over there. Most of them holding glasses, haha. There were cops too. We were walking through the other streets. The night was so beautiful, not too warm, not too cool and with a full moon. Some houses looked a bit spooky, haha. We went to the Cathedral and Jackson Square.

They were doing some construction and in our way back I found a power shovel just parked there, so I couldn't help it and told Shannon I'd get a pic. He thought I would just take a pic of it, but I wanted a pic IN it, haha. Then we started walking back to Bourbon St. I told him I have never tried a Hand Grenade. Shannon was surprised and decided to fix it. We went to the Tropical Island and got HG for us both, hehe.

Then we left and kept on walking, hihi.

I found a couple of cops and told Shannon I have to get a pic with the cops, my tradition. He found it so funny and agreed to take a pic. There were 2 cops and I asked them if I could get a pic. They agreed. One stood next to me and the other hold my HG Glass, haha. They shouldn't be in a pic with somebody holding alcohol, haha. There were so many funny shirts hanging on the walls of different stores. Shannon was telling me, he'd like to move nearby. That would be awesome!!!

Our HG were over and we went back to the Tropical Island. This time we tried another drink. But don't remember the name. We were tired and went to the terrace. We were just chilling out and watching all the people going from bar to bar downstairs, haha.
waiting for our pizza, hehe
We decided to follow their example and kept on walking.

Ok, I had to work the next day and needed something to suck the alcohol. We were in Bourbon St surrounded but a lot of places offering slices of pizza haha. We just got 1, which was more than enough for the 2 of us. Then it was time to go back to my hotel and sleep. Oh! I was forgetting to mention our original idea was to have dinner, haha. Actually we were talking about we like to eat, haha. At the end we mostly drank, haha. No regrets at all. I still had some days more in NOLA and hope I'll meet this great guy again. Hopefully his 1st TB didn't dissapoint him :P

It's a bit sweet but can be strong and dangerous too, hehe. Won't be your favorite, but definitely something to do in New Orleans, haha
