Before going to karaoke, we went to the old part of Surco - the area where I live - in order to try it. Usually this area is so quiet, but it was crowded. What was going on there? Well, this week was the town week, hahaha, and I didn't know it, hahaha. The anticuchos are so common here, that you can have them almost everywhere, but I know a hole in the wall where you can find the greatest and there we went.
I ordered anticuchos (heart) for the guys and gizzards for me. I know it might not sound very tasty, but trust me, it is! Not only it was tasty, but also cheap, hahaha, the whole package. The verdict... they loved it! Christian loves meat and was saying this might be the best meat he tried in Peru, hahaha. Well, the heart is a muscle, so... Tone loved it too, so tender, uhmmm. They also tried the gizzards. Other thing they liked, was the yellow chili, hahaha.
After eating we walked around the small square and stopped in another restaurant where they cook the "cuy" (guinea pig). The guys were telling me, they had a goal: "eat something different / unique daily". So maybe this would be another stop, hahaha. We drove back to my house in order to leave my car and they tried something new again. This time was something sweet: "lucuma". This is a Peruvian fruit and which better way to try it than the ice cream ;)
It was a Must visiting the HQ, hahaha. Don't need to say they were quite impressed by all the photos I have on my walls, hahaha. Don't worry, guys. You'd be part of it soon. Ok, now we were ready to keep on moving and go to the karaoke and meet the other TB's. Party will get started...
