creepy heads... they gave me nightmares...
The original plan was to go to downtown and do some sightseeing, but there was a change of plans at last minute. Well, I woke up and went to the gym, by the time I was back at home (11am), it was raining, well for Lima standards. As we agreed, I met Craig at 11:45am. I told him I didn't feel too sure to go to downtown... it'd be really touristy and he didn't like touristy stuff very much. We could go there to the China town, but... what about going to an open market? The one I used to go to, when I lived in that area. He agreed and so we did.

We went to Magdalena. This market became more organized recently with pedestrian lights and everything, but it's still big and crowded, you can find many stuff here. And since I used to go there, I know it and can show it, hehehe.
guinea pigs!!!
So, we started with the meat area, found some creepy heads and guinea pigs... There was a good variety of fruits and veggies and Craig bought some fresh fruit and I found Gunther's food, hahaha. We wanted to have some cebiche for lunch and I remembered a small and tasty place there, but we couldn't find it...

We were walking back to my car and found a nice restaurant, which looks new too. Well, this area has changed. There are new places everywhere. It was cheap for Lima standards, but not as cheap as Mancora. Anyway, the place looked clean and good. We ordered 2 cebiches and the portions were big! Tasted fresh and really good! After a delicious meal, we started to walked back to my car. We were just walking around when I started to feel sort of funny... but I was enough good to drive.
nice graffiti!

We drove back to Miraflores, to the skate park. Just to kill sometime. We were close to Craig's place so I let him do something I've never done before: let a TB drive my car!!!! Maybe I made this decision because I wasn't feeling 100% right, hahaha. Nevermind, it was Sunday, so no heavy traffic. The only thing to have in mind, was that he drives with the Steer wheel at the right side! So, the whole time I was feeling we were too close to the right, hahaha. I have to be honest, I was nervous. I'm used to drive Kitty and she's my baby... It was a short drive and we survived. Kitty survived! hahaha, just kidding, he's a good driver but I don't think I'd let him drive if the traffic is too heavy... :P

Hey, my chef friend and I go to the meat market in Otavalo every Saturday! We are going today in a half hour! He really likes to walk around and look at the meat and other weird stuff. We can go there if you want! Our favorite thing is to drink a Pilsener grande (of course) in the center of the meat market and watch people, it's fun!
