We were supposed to meet at 8pm, but it was early. I was in a family reunion, so wouldn't be able to make it at 8pm. Just gave Mal a call and since the rest of the gang would arrive later, we agreed to meet at 8:20pm straight at the restaurant/mini bar. Before the show started, we got dinner. Always important not having an empty stomach if you are thinking about drinking.
Around 9:30pm we started to listen some music upstairs and the waiter came and let us know that the dancer was about starting to perform. Mmm, time to move upstairs. Just paid for the food and took our beers upstairs! It looked different and first time we were there.
I was laughing about that when the dancer approached to our table and asked me to dance.
We were just chatting when we saw that the Arabic guys got a hookah. And we have always talked about smoking a hooka during the "Arabic Nights" so Mal called the waiter and ordered an apple flavoured one. We saw the dancer took a pitcher with beer and we were just wondering. "Is he multitask and also work as a waiter?" haha.
Suddenly we saw a cute couple arriving. They were Raul and his girlfriend Claudia. We met her at the Halloween Party. So glad to see them, here!!! It was the first time for both of them there and liked the atmosphere. They were hungry and wanted to get food before dancing, but they didn't know what to order since it was their first time trying Middle Eastern food too, hehe. So, they didn't have any clue about what to order, mmm. Ok, don't worry guys, I'll be your guide ;) They tried it and liked it, yay!!!
Claudia was commenting on the guys smoking the hookah. It was something new for her and was amazed by that.
We were just enjoying the dances, hookah and chilling out when I saw a nice girl approaching to us with a big smile on her face.
Was the show over? Well, yes and no. The dancer wasn't there anymore, but we started to listen somebody was singing on Arabic. It was the dancer who changed clothes and was looking normal now, haha. It was so much fun looking at he dancing and doing all the mimic, without understanding any single word of what he was saying, mmm. There was an old guy who seemed to be his friend was singing loud too, haha. Our hookah was getting over and Raul wanted to get another one, but the tall hookah.
Then we moved to another table, which was in a more private area and got the tall hookah. This time with strawberry flavor. By this time we were experts, haha. Personally I preferred the apple one :P Ok, it was time to dance. The dancer was still dancing there. Although he was just wearing casual clothing, it was a whole show. We all tried to follow him, haha. Then he took a glass, put it on his head and started to dance. I was amazed again.
But the really amazing thing was that Mal did it too!!! Come on! How many times does the dancer see a Singaporean guy dancing Arabic in Lima? haha, so he didn't waist the opportunity, took the glass of his own head and placed it on Mal's.
We went back to our table to rest a bit and relax, haha. Nelly should leave. A family reunion was going own in her house and she left it while nobody was paying attention, but by that time they should have already noticed it, oooops! It was getting late and the place would close soon, so we started to take some pics and ordered the bill. Thinking about all the fun we had, it wasn't expensive, hehe. Raul and Claudia would go to dance, but not me. I had to go back home... Well, I wasn't the only one. Mal would do the same too :)
This was a fun night! Trying something new in life surrounding by friends / TB's, how great!!! I can't ask for anything better :)
