we were leaving for Hoi An by bus. Its a 4 hour bus trip from Hue to
Hoi An, so to break up the trip we stopped at the North and South
Gates, where we checked out the American and French bunkers, China
Beach and the old American Airbase. We arrived in Hoi An about 2pm
and this time I had to share with Esra. We met the group down in the
lobby and Matt took us for a walk around Hoi An and had lunch at this
really nice place but a little bit expensive place called the Cargo
After a great lunch and a few spilled Mai Tai's (dam place mate knocking over my cocktails) we went for a walk to where all the tailors were so we could get some clothes made. Not really wanting to get anything made as I really didn't have much room in the back pack I caved in a got a winter coat made and a couple pairs of shorts and it was only $60US for all three so that wasn't too bad.
and some of the girls went back to the hotel to chill out for a bit.
Whilst I was sitting on the balcony trying to avoid Esra when Marie
and Susan called from below and asked me if I want to join them at
on the bed the lady starts scrubbing and I almost screamed from the
pain of it. What on earth made me decide to get a salt scrub. Marie
got a honey and sesame scrub which is what I wished I had gotten as
the salt felt like it was scrubs at least a hundred layers of skin
off, but the worse was yet to come. We then had to turn over.
Thinking they would cover us Marie and I were laying there waiting
for the towel to come but no and then they started scrubbing.
then went and met the group at a pub called Tam Tams where we told
them about our day at the spater Tam Tams we headed off the the beach
party, but when we arrived there wasn't many people there so it was
more of a gathering. We ordered couple of buckets, which has Vodka,
Red Bull and lemonade in them and were well on our way to having a
drunken night in Hoi An.
We got back to our rooms and being in the state that we were we got up to some mischief. Eoin decided to ring all the door bells of everyone room and woke few people up. Marie and I did the conga in my room and woke Esra up. We ended up back in Eoin and Marie's room until we got in trouble by the hotel for making too much noise. It was such a great night but I knew I was going to pay for it the next day. thankfully we had nothing planned so I could sleep in
