This was a trip I took to Gabon to do some volunteer work with a Linguist who is attempting to be the first write down a local language. Special thanks to Mike Schubeck for taking some of these pics.

Finally I'm Here!

After a flight that seemed to take forever, I made it to Libreville. I arranged for my visa in the US which enabled me to skip the EXTREMELY long line for visas. I would recommend anyone traveling to Gabon get a visa first, I've heard stories of immigaration putting people back on the plane. Anyway, my bags were waiting when I got through passport security. My friends were waiting for me as I exited the airport. We went back to there place so I could wash up and then headed out for dinner. August 17 is the Gabonaise independence day, so needless to say we had fun before I turned in semi-early due to jet-lag.
