no turning back
October 1, 2005
My backpack is packed and lying on a cart awaiting its temporary residence in an Aer Lingus plane. My passport is kept under lock and key as it is my only form of identification that will give me access to the unknown... my journal is by my side waiting to be filled with great adventures... my sister lies next to me perhaps thinking what she has gotten into:) I notice that people run to and from the airport.. some with backpacks like my sister and I.. some with briefcases.. I wonder if they wish that they could quit their jobs to travel around the world or if they are where they want to be in life... I wonder if more people would travel if they knew that they could or if they get trapped into doing the "right" or the "secure" thing? Do they regret it later in life? I'm regretting the fact that I waited so long to pursue this crazy dream:)
