San Francisco is a beautiful city and the Golden Gate Bridge is one of the most recognized structures in the entire world. But every time we have been to this great city the local weather has been against us.  Never have we been able to see all of the bridge. 

Today, as we left Saratoga it was still raining but as we made our way farther north the rain stopped and the clouds separated.  And as we got to the southern end of the Golden Gate bridge there were wisps of fog still in the harbor and the bay, but the bridge was clear from top to bottom.

We took lots of pictures from several places on the south side before going over the bridge to the north side and stopping again.  From that side the city looks so nice and we got even more pictures.  We even got pictures of the maritime monument at that spot.
